- Every fact has a source. Each guide links to the official page, filing or news report behind each claim, with the date we verified it.
- Company claims are labeled. Feature and pricing statements come from company pages and are presented as such until we test hands-on.
- No paid rankings. Affiliate relationships never affect order or verdicts. Companies cannot pay to be included or reviewed.
- We don't rank what we haven't tested. Where we haven't done hands-on testing, we say so.
- Corrections. We fix errors promptly and update the page's date.
- Prices change. Tax software prices change during the season. Always confirm on the provider's site before you file.
